Haroldo Jacobovicz is a serial entrepreneur famous for starting companies and taking them to greater heights. Son of civil engineers Alfredo and Sarita, he is the eldest of four male brothers. He recalls his parents creating engineering structures to solve current problems, which inspired him to follow in their footsteps early. Haroldo Jacobovicz joined the Federal University of Parana to pursue his dreams for engineering. Imbued with the principles of order, respect and discipline, he quickly realized his passion for information technology and its role in future. He graduated in 1983, and before taking his degree, he created his first company, Microsystem, in partnership with his three friends. Microsystem’s main purpose was to help small companies manage their cash flows and inventory. Even though the company lasted only for one year, it equipped Haroldo with the knowledge and skills to run a big company.
1985 remains an essential year to Haroldo Jacobovicz. It was the year when he received his breakthrough after being appointed to work at Esso, now Exxon Mobil, a US multinational oil distribution company. Starting as a reserve salesman, he quickly moved through levels to become the company’s head of new business and commercial tactics. In 1986, he returned to Curitiba to work as an advisor for the Itaipu Hydroelectric Power plant before quitting to concentrate on his companies.
Haroldo Jacobovicz is the founder of three highly reputable companies; E-Governe Group, Horizons Telecom, and Horizons Datacenter. His companies have successfully acquired a substantive market share both in Curitiba and the entire South American region. Horizons Telecom, for instance, is one of the most valued telecom service providers in the region. The company prides itself on a 100% fibre-optic telecommunication network and the use of modern equipment gadgets to deliver outstanding services to clients. The company’s success prompted Haroldo to open Horizons Datacenter in 2020, Which received a grand reception and attracted many customers within a short period.
