Tom Keane has been in the industry for over 35 years. He started at Digital Equipment Corporation’s manufacturing division and worked his way up to computer company President. Keane has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Villanova University and Master’s degree from Northeastern University.

 

He is currently President of Computer & Software, Inc. he oversees operations for the company, including manufacturing computer hardware, software licensing, and consulting services. When Tom Keane joined the company over 15 years ago, it was a privately held startup with about 150 employees and revenues of just under 40 million dollars.

 

Today, the outstanding corporation employs 500 people, has annual revenues exceeding 180 million dollars, and is on track to become one of the ten most prominent manufacturers of PCs in North America by 1998. As a former CEO and President, Tom Keane is one of the industry’s leading experts in manufacturing. One of his more notable accomplishments was growing the company out of a couple of hundred employees.

He led it into one of the ten most prominent manufacturers of PCs in North America by 1998.  His experience ranges from engineering, sales, and management to engineering, sales, and marketing; he has worked at companies such as Digital Equipment Corporation, Silicon Graphics, Vitesse, and United States Robotics. That led Tom Keane to be the recipient of the Pinnacle Award from Washington Exec.

 

He claims that his greatest strengths are his ability to lead people; he believes that you can attract better employees if you have a more robust product or service. He believes that the best way to ensure good employees is to grow your company and recruit people from other employers. Like all successful business people, Tom Keane has spent much of his life thinking and learning.
