Indeed, her hopes were ultimately realized. As her designs are worn by so many famous ladies in the entertainment and business industries. Her garments can be found at over 90 partner shops worldwide, and 90% of sales come from outside the United States.
Maria Lucia Hohan began her company in 2003 with an initial investment of 800 euros. Her father loaned her the money, and in exchange, she requested her to create a business plan. She used the money to purchase two sewing machines.
The Number of Orders and Clients Tripled By 2013
The firm began attending international trade shows in 2006, and as a result of its worldwide development, its order volume and customer base more than quadrupled in 2017.
“Significant growth was seen throughout several regions, including Russia, Europe, Brazil, the United States, Australia and North Africa. At the moment, our presence in Asia is minimal. Europe and The Middle East are the two most important regions, accounting for around 90% of total sales. Yet, sales fluctuate with the seasons. Dresses with more modest coverage, such as those with longer sleeves, do better in the Middle East, whereas dresses with bolder colors do better in Southern Europe. Yet, in Northern Europe, sales are higher if the colors are darker “as Maria Lucia Hohan explains.
