The enigma, Mark Hauser

Mark Hauser has been involved in small business and entrepreneurial endeavors since college. As one of the board of directors at Falcon Holdings, a family-owned private equity firm focusing primarily on real estate investments and development, with affiliated businesses in technology, health care, and finance, he leaves a significant mark in the world.

Career

Mark Hauser began his career as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc., where he was Vice President responsible for arranging to finance for technology companies. Subsequently, Mr. Hauser was a partner in Venture Capital Group LLC, an early-stage venture capital firm investing in high-tech startups. Afterward, Mr. Hauser became Managing Director of Willet Creek Capital LP.

Qualifications

Mark Hauser attended Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Entrepreneurial Management.

In the early 1990s, he owned and operated an independent retail electronics store that specialized in high-end home theater products. He co-founded a company specializing in custom-made audio-visual installations for commercial clients such as hospitals, hotels, and churches.

In 1994 Mr. Hauser began working at a local grocery store chain, where he quickly rose to become one of their top-performing managers; during this time, he also earned his Certified Grocery Manager Certification through the National Grocers Association. After completing his degree at Carthage College, Mr. Hauser returned to work for this grocery store chain. He eventually became a District Manager overseeing five stores within their district until leaving the industry in 2001.
