Haroldo Jacobovicz is a Brazilian businessman who has enjoyed great success as an investor, and entrepreneur in the tech field. He lives in Curitiba, Brazil and is enormously involved in his community in many philanthropic endeavors.
Throughout his over 30 years in business Haroldo Jacobovicz has always given back to his hometown of Curitiba and the surrounding region. Having recently turned 60 years of age, Jacobovicz decided to cement his legacy by creating the Haroldo Jacobovicz Institute.
He comes by his dedication to philanthropy from his parents who immigrated to Brazil from Europe. He fondly remembers watching his parents when he was a child as they did charitable acts of kindness. Jacobovicz strongly believes that you cannot consider yourself successful unless you are involved in community philanthropy.
To that end Haroldo Jacobovicz has been a generous donor to many charities in his hometown. With the creation of his institute, he has consolidated his charitable giving through one entity. It is a family affair with Jacobovicz serving as president, his wife as vice presidents and his daughters working for the Institute as well.
The focus of the Institute is on establishing long term relationships with the recipient of charitable funding. The goal is maintaining a charitable giving list of about 20 organizations. At this time, they support organizations including those that deal with animal rights and protection, Chabad, a Jewish outreach organization, and Hospital Erasto Gaetner.
Mr. Jacobovicz takes these same ideas of being charitable to his business as well, he offers excellent benefits packages to his employees. Among the benefits available to employees are private transportation to the office to decrease the likelihood of employees being exposed to health hazards on their way to work, a birthday day off, gift packages to the parents of newborns, a comprehensive health care program, and even a day of tribute to relatives of employees who have passed away.
