CFE recently unveiled plants for the FLNG hub to supply feed gas. The initiative aimed at providing gas to several NFE FLNG units by leveraging the current pipeline capacity of the company.

The agreement would officially launch on November 3, and two prominent people would be responsible for its launch. These are the Mexican Head of State and the CEO of the CFE Company. The agreements first came into light in mid of July, according to Wes Edens. One significant aspect of this deal would be that it focused on improving and extending natural gas supply to CFE companies. However, he did not identify whether the deal would involve any future improving initiatives.

The CFE company would then use this gas for power production purposes. Wes Edens did an excellent job of providing insight into the delivery and launch of this project. The commencement of this initiative initially started in La Paz, Baja California Sur. It would feature a single terminal based on the ISO Flex System. It also involved the natural gas supply to the CFE power production facilities. Another critical aspect of this deal would be that CFE and NFE would increase the term and volume of gas supplied. Plus, the company would also sell its main Turbogas power plant in La Paz to CFE.

Incorporating this power plant into the power production systems of CFEE will provide various benefits. These will include access to improved reliability, power cost management, and renewable energy resources. The first NFE FNLN unit, which runs in Kiewit Offshore shipyard, will be critical in launching these operations. The goal of this gas deal is to provide improved power supply services to various regions, according to Wes Edens. Consumers and companies will enjoy access to cleaner and better-quality power.
