Kelcy Warren is the President, CEO and Chairman of Energy Transfer Partners. A businessman with a wealth of experience in the field of construction and engineering, Warren has built his company into one of North America’s premier energy infrastructure companies. He also serves on the board for several business organizations, including the American Legislative Exchange Council. Kelcy Warren’s success as an entrepreneur has been recognized beyond his career in the energy industry, with Forbes naming him one of America’s 50 Richest People and Fortune magazine naming him one of America’s Best & Brightest Entrepreneurs.
Kelcy Warren is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, an organization that focuses on international relations and national security issues. He has also held leadership positions within numerous business organizations including: American Petroleum Institute (API), Texas oil and gas industry group; Texas Oil and Gas Association; Texaco Inc.; Sunoco Inc.; Southern Natural Gas Company; GAS Technology Association; CEO Roundtable for Houston. He is a member of a number of industry organizations, including: North American Energy Infrastructure Association (NAEIA); American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM); National Association of Manufacturers (NAM); American Gas Association; American Petrochemical Council; and National Mining Association.
Kelcy Warren received his BA in Economics from the University of Virginia and is a Certified Public Accountant. In terms of personal/professional development, Kelcy Warren started a charity called “Warren’s Vision”, which provides medical care for children who have no other medical insurance. The organization goes by the name “The Kelcy A. Warren Foundation” and has raised over $1,000,000 since it was founded in 2000. Warren is also a member of the YMCA leadership team from Houston.
Kelcy Warren has been in the oil business for over 30 years and has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry including George Mitchell, Ken Davis and Robert Sillerman. His expertise includes engineering, environmental permitting and construction management. He has been involved on projects ranging from national pipelines to smaller utilities.
