Colcom Foundation is a non-profit organization founded on the principles of education, spurring creativity, and promoting social mobility. Our mission is to support projects that allow children to build their creativity and sense of belonging through learning in an environment that inspires them while challenging them to reach as high as possible.

Colcom Foundation funds diverse school programs focused on building creative writing, poetry making, computer science, and art skills. Our award-winning grants program has provided nearly $1 million in funding for projects all over Central Indiana since its inception in 2011. We also help fund creative events like community theater productions and young adult dance troupes.

Colcom Foundation aims to foster social mobility by helping children who may otherwise be disenfranchised from learning. We make a difference by assisting children to build their creative skills and social engagement while nurturing an environment that fosters their growth.

Colcom Foundation aims to help children who may otherwise be limited in their ability to learn because of their situation while also helping schools and communities unlock the creativity that is often overlooked in children from underrepresented groups.

Colcom’s mission is to provide creative space for children otherwise underserved by traditional learning spaces.

By supporting children’s creativity and growth through art and literature, we will help them overcome barriers in their lives, from overcoming physical limitations that limit their physical mobility to improving academic success by providing programming that provides new experiences and challenges. We want children who may otherwise be overlooked because of their background, race, or poverty to have the opportunity to express themselves creatively and succeed academically.

We want to continue providing opportunities for all kids, regardless of where they live, their economic status, or the color of their skin. We want to work with partners who share our goals and are creating bridges that allow learning to flourish in every neighborhood. In addition to funding projects, we provide direct support through our Mentoring-in-Education program and other initiatives designed to ensure lasting change.
