Dr Bharat Lall’s vision of how to increase the value of Jet is to make it a place where vendors create “the product they’re really proud of.” Barry Lall is President and Chief Executive Officer of Jet.com, LLC.

Lall has been a leader in building marketplaces, including founding OLX as well as serving as Group CEO of Quikr and Vice President at eBay India.

Lall holds an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and a BSc degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He was awarded the “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Ernst & Young and received a Stanford GSB entrepreneurship fellowship.

Dr Barry Lall started his career from HCL Technologies where he worked for 16 years in roles such as Director-New Business Development, Country Manager of Brazil and General Manager of New Zealand. His last role at HCL was as Vice President Global Business Development for the Technology Services Group.

Lall was one of the earliest employees of OLX, where he led the business development and operations teams and became the first employee to occupy the role of CEO in 2010. Under Lall’s leadership, OLX.com grew to become a global brand with a multi-lingual presence in over 70 countries with a base of over 200 million monthly users. The company was acquired by Groupon for $405 million in 2013.

Dr Lall then spent four years at Quikr as Vice President of Products and Technology and oversaw the development of various products, including the eventual launch of the world’s first two-sided marketplace for local services in India. Quikr was acquired by eBay for $800 million in 2016.

In 2017, Lall co-founded Jet.com with Marc Lore, under whom he had previously worked at Quikr. Lore became CEO and Lall took the role of President & Chief Executive Officer. Go here for related Information.
